Jorgen Rasmussen
Jørgen Rasmussen, born in 1931, is a Danish designer and artist known for redefining functionality. Rasmussen attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and established a design studio with his twin brother in 1957; the two primarily designed for residential homes. In the 1960s, Jørgen Rasmussen and his brother began designing chairs for KEVI A/S, which became known as the KEVI chair. The multi-purpose chair was celebrated for not compromising comfort while maintaining durability and functionality. Rasmussen later invented the innovative and iconic double wheel castor--this is used on almost all Danish task chairs.
