Louis Poulsen Lighting
Louis Poulsen is a Danish lighting manufacturer that was founded in 1874, specializing in creating lighting fixtures that express precise, innovative, and functional layers. In 1924, back when Louis Poulsen was “Danish machine and electrical supply company, Louis Poulsen & Co.”, the company began working with Danish designer Poul Henningsen to participate in an international exhibit for decorative art held in Paris. Henningsen’s was one of the winners and in the year after, his now legendary “PH” lamps earned gold medals at the exhibition. From that point on, Louis Poulsen began focusing its efforts in producing and manufacturing modern lighting fixtures. Louis Poulsen partners with designers and architects such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, and Verner Panton to create products that reflect and support the rhythm of natural light.
